A major police investigation is underway at Reading College this afternoon following a serious stabbing incident that has left the campus in lockdown and one person hospitalised with significant injuries.
Emergency Response Swarms Campus
Thames Valley Police descended on the King's Road campus in force after receiving multiple emergency calls reporting a violent assault. Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as armed officers and multiple police vehicles secured the area.
"A large police presence remains at the scene," confirmed a Thames Valley Police spokesperson. "We were called to reports of a stabbing at Reading College on King's Road at approximately 1:30 PM."
Victim Hospitalised with Serious Injuries
The victim, whose identity hasn't been released, sustained what authorities describe as "serious injuries" in the attack. Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service provided emergency treatment at the scene before rushing the individual to hospital for further care.
