Love to Dream has released its Swaddle Up in a new hazel shade as part of its Halloween collection, and parents are praising the £29.99 zip-up swaddle for helping their babies sleep. One new mum said hospital midwives commented on how cosy her baby looked while wearing it.
The brand describes the Swaddle Up as a user-friendly swaddle crafted to encourage a natural arms-up sleeping position. It is designed to provide gentle self-soothing and extended sleep, delivering a snug fit within seconds and seeking to replicate a womb-like sensation while stretching to soothe the startle reflex.
New autumn shade and features
The fresh autumnal hazel design is available in sizes from newborn up to small and medium, and comes in a viscose from bamboo fabric with a 1 tog rating. The item features a two-way zip engineered to make nappy changes effortless.
Parents who prefer a different look can choose alternative colours in cotton, viscose from bamboo or organic cotton, with different tog options available.
Halloween collection and bundles
Also new to Love to Dream's collection are Halloween pyjamas, available as a babygrow option for £24.99, plus short sleeve (£26.99) and long sleeve (£29.99) variations. The Swaddle Up and Babygrow Bundle is priced at £50 (RRP £59.98) and includes the hazel Swaddle Up and a black cat babygrow. For older children, the Sleep Bag and Pyjama Bundle is on offer for £60 (down from £72.98).
Other baby swaddles on the market include Momcozy's Easy Swaddle Wrap For 0-3M at £32.99, which features a quiet velcro design and an adjustable fit. Mamas and Papas sells the Dreampod Swaddle (1.0 Tog) Bunny for £25, available in newborn and 0-3 month sizes.
Parent reviews
While the new hazel design has not yet received ratings, other colours of the Swaddle Up have drawn largely glowing reviews. One customer said: "Softest swaddle ever. This swaddle is just perfect. The softest fabric and my little girl just loves it."
Another wrote: "The best way to put my baby to sleep. There is nothing else that I'd use for my little one to sleep in, she absolutely loves the swaddle and I really like the bamboo one, especially in the warmer months it feels so light and still allows her to comfortably move."
A third praised it as 'amazing', commenting: "We had these with our first born, and knew we'd be buying again as they changed our lives. Both babies have never slept so well! The quality is amazing, and no matter how much you wash them you don't lose that quality."
One parent noted: "Incredible! This is amazing, every time. My baby is 13 days old and he loves his love to dream swaddles! We were in hospital for four days after he was born and whenever he was wearing his swaddle he was so calm and cosy! Even the hospital staff loved the swaddle, the midwives commented every time they saw him in it saying how cosy and happy he was!"
However, on Trustpilot, one customer mentioned a problem with their order, stating in part of their review: "Received my order today and both wrong size. Ordered a small and they have sent me two newborn." Another parent said: "My third baby and have never really used the swaddle up swaddles before. This time we started using from a few days on old and they've been a game changer. Baby boy settles so much once I place him in his swaddle and he loves his arms up."
