A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital following a shooting on a busy Sheffield road on Monday evening.
Critical Incident on London Road
The incident occurred at 5:17 PM on Monday, November 24, on London Road in the Highfield area. The location is close to Sheffield city centre and the Bramall Lane football stadium. Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a gunshot were received.
The victim, a 16-year-old boy, sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. His family are currently maintaining a vigil at his bedside.
