Nottinghamshire Police have launched an investigation after a young woman was reportedly raped in Nottingham city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning. Officers have cordoned off several streets, including Lace Market Square and Adams Walk, following the incident.

Incident Details

The police received a report of the rape at 2:46 am on Saturday, June 13, in the Adams Walk area near Lace Market Square. The victim, described only as a young woman, is currently being supported by officers. Authorities have placed a cordon along Adams Walk leading up to Fletcher Gate, and a police car is stationed outside a branch of Pizza Punks, one of several businesses within the cordon.

Investigation Ongoing

An evidence cone has been placed next to some items in the square as part of the ongoing investigation. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson stated: "We were called at 2.46am on Saturday to the Adams Walk area of Nottingham city centre after reports that a young woman had been raped. She is being supported by officers and investigations are ongoing."
