A woman has died and a man is in a critical condition following a multi-vehicle collision on the M40 in Warwickshire. The crash occurred at approximately 10:50 pm on Sunday, prompting a large emergency response and causing long queues on the motorway.
Victim pronounced dead at scene
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) confirmed that the woman, in her 40s, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The man, whose age has not been disclosed, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to University Hospital Coventry, where he remains in a critical condition.
