Urgent Recall: Nursery Cot Risk of Death Warning

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued an urgent recall for the 5-in-1 nursery center portable cot, warning parents of a risk of serious injury or death. The product, sold on Amazon and Costway Wholesale, fails to comply with mandatory safety standards for infant sleep products, posing entrapment and suffocation hazards.

Product Details and Risk

The recalled cot functions as a bassinet, bed, sleeper, baby crib, activity centre, and changing table. The ACCC stated: "This product doesn’t comply with the mandatory standard for infant sleep products. Risk of serious injury or death from entrapment or suffocation. An incident has occurred." Consumers are urged to check the model number or SKU, specifically SKU: BB0505.

Additional Recall: Baby Snow Suits

In a separate recall, quilted snow suits for babies sold at Best and Less have been pulled from shelves due to a dangerous fault. The suits, available in pink florals and cream bears, were sold nationally online and in-store between April 16 and June 11. The snap fasteners can detach during use, posing a choking hazard. The recalled SKUs are: 1922326, 1922327, 1922328, 1922329, 1922330, 1922331, 1922334, 1922335, 1922336, 1922337, 1922338, and 1922339. Customers should keep the snow suits out of reach of children and return them to any Best and Less store for a full refund.
