Two more men have been charged with murder in connection with the death of an 18-year-old man in Gorseinon in July. The 33-year-old and 18-year-old, both from Swansea, both face charges of murder and attempted murder.
Tyler Ford, 18, from Morriston, had already been charged with the murder of Ceiran Evans, from Gorseinon, following a fatal road traffic collision involving a car and an off-road bike on July 9. Ford was also charged with the attempted murder of a second victim in the same incident, which took place on Pen Cae Crwn Road.
Additional Charges Announced
On Tuesday evening, South Wales Police confirmed that 33-year-old Elliot Truelove, from West Cross, Swansea and 18-year-old Liam Thomas, from Morriston, Swansea, had also both been charged with murder and attempted murder.
Last month, police were called to the area shortly before 1pm on Thursday, July 9, following reports of a crash involving one car and an off-road bike. Before long several roads were closed off including Pen Cae Crwn Road, Brighton Road, Brynteg Road, and Pontardulais Road with a huge police presence at the scene.
Investigation and Tribute
In the aftermath of the incident, several roads were closed for investigations and Swansea Council lorries were seen driving up and down several streets dispensing water onto the road surface to clean them.
Detective Chief Inspector Danielle Thorne, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "This has been a complex investigation into an incident which has been incredibly traumatic for both Ceiran Evans' family and the wider community of Gorseinon. These additional charges are another significant update as we seek to understand the circumstances which led to Ceiran's death. We again thank the local community for their assistance with the investigation."
Following his death, Mr Evans' family paid tribute to him, describing him as someone with a handsome smile and wicked sense of humour. In a tribute, they wrote: "Ceiran was loved more than any words can say and will be missed every single day. His kind heart, wicked sense of humour, loving nature, and handsome smile brought so much joy to everyone who knew him. He will forever be our precious baby boy; always loved, always remembered, and never forgotten."
