Two Injured in Ambulance and Car Crash on Queens Drive

Two people were taken to hospital following a collision between an ambulance and a car on Queens Drive in Liverpool on Thursday evening. The incident occurred near the Jolly Miller pub in Old Swan at around 7pm on June 25.

Emergency Response and Injuries

Merseyside Police confirmed that the crash involved a Vauxhall Insignia and a North West Ambulance Service vehicle. The junction of Queens Drive and Mill Lane was closed as emergency services dealt with the incident. Two people sustained slight injuries, the force said in an update on Friday morning.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene. A spokesperson said: "Crews were alerted at 7.03pm and arrived on scene at 7.06pm. Two fire engines attended. On arrival crews found a road traffic collision involving a car and an ambulance. Both vehicles were on all four wheels and all occupants were out on crews’ arrival. All occupants were checked over by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and conveyed to hospital for further checks. Fire crews then handed the scene over to Merseyside Police and left at 7.30pm."

Road Closure and Aftermath

Queens Drive remained closed for several hours on Thursday night. The road was reopened after the scene was cleared. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Merseyside Police.
