Tributes to 'beautiful' girl, 16, killed in Wakefield collision

A 16-year-old girl who died after being found injured near a bus stop has been pictured for the first time. Nadia Mucha was found lying on Rooks Nest Road, Wakefield, at around 8.33pm on September 29. She was taken to hospital where she sadly died four days later, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.

Arrest and bail

Following enquiries by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, a 25-year-old man was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries, YorkshireLive reports.

Police previously said Nadia was found close to a bus stop on Rooks Nest Road and had suffered serious head and chest injuries. Detectives said they believed she was the victim of a fail-to-stop road traffic collision. Officers are continuing to appeal for information.
