Tributes have poured in for an 18-year-old woman who died when her Fiat 500 crashed into a tree in Bedfordshire.
Megan Durham has been named as the victim of the crash on September 13 in Sheep Lane, Woburn.
Police statement
Bedfordshire Police said: “Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Megan died after the Fiat 500 she was driving left the carriageway and collided with a tree in Sheep Lane.”
Megan’s family issued a tribute, saying she was “loved beyond words by family members and friends”.
“Megan will be deeply missed by all who knew her,” her family added.
Investigation ongoing
Police said: “Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit are continuing their investigation and are preparing a file for the coroner.
“Anyone who witnessed Megan’s vehicle prior to the collision, or who has any information that may assist the investigation, is asked to report online.”
Fundraising appeal
A GoFundMe page has been set up by a coworker of Megan’s mum, reading: “My name is Jane and I am fundraising for my dear friend and colleague Charlotte Durham who has been a dedicated registered nurse for over 30 years.
“On the 13th September 2026, Charlotte’s 18-year-old daughter Megan died in a road traffic accident.
“This has left Charlotte, her husband Steve and their daughters Chloe and Grace completely devastated.”
The page has raised almost £10,000 to help fund a funeral for Megan and aid the family in coming months.
