A man has been arrested following a knife attack in Timperley that left two people injured. Police were called to Stockport Road at approximately 12:47pm on Monday, June 8, after reports of an assault. Officers quickly detained a suspect at 12:54pm on suspicion of assault. The two victims sustained minor injuries, believed to be slash wounds, and a cordon was placed outside an Iceland supermarket on the street. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing. A spokesperson said: 'Officers were called to reports of an assault on Stockport Road, Timperley at around 12:47pm this afternoon. A man was quickly detained and arrested at 12:54pm on suspicion of assault. Two victims sustained minor injuries. Enquiries remain ongoing.'
