Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following an alleged stabbing in County Durham. The victim, a man in his 50s, sustained stab wounds and was pronounced dead in hospital.
Incident in Thames Road
Officers were called to an address in Thames Road, Peterlee, shortly before midnight on Wednesday, September 23, following reports that a man had suffered stab wounds. The man was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Durham Constabulary said: "Two men, aged 53 and 77, and a 73-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody where they remain today. Crime scene investigators are currently examining the scene, and officers are carrying out enquiries in the area. A cordon is in place at the scene and is expected to remain for some time."
