A speeding driver who killed a woman in a head-on collision in a quiet UK village has been jailed. Scott Bradley was travelling at around 69mph in a 30mph zone when his Vauxhall Astra smashed into a Honda travelling in the opposite direction.
Crash details
CCTV footage from shortly before the collision showed Bradley speeding before mounting the pavement as he tried to avoid street furniture and concrete bollards. His car struck several objects before he steered back onto the road and drove on the wrong side, where he collided head-on with the Honda.
Victim's death
Kathleen O'Neill was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but tragically died two weeks later. The collision occurred in a quiet village, and the incident has led to Bradley being jailed.
