British Transport Police have released an image of a man they wish to identify after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a crowded London Underground train.
Details of the Incident
The alleged assault occurred on a Northern Line service heading towards Tufnell Park, North London, at approximately 5:30pm on Thursday, 23 April. The victim boarded the rush-hour train and stood near the doors. Police said she was then sexually assaulted before the suspect alighted at Tufnell Park Underground station.
Police Appeal
In a statement issued on 25 June, a British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Detectives investigating a sexual assault on board a Northern Line Underground train towards Tufnell Park are today releasing this image in connection. At around 5.30pm on Thursday 23 April, a woman boarded a Northern Line train and stood by the door. She was then sexually assaulted by a man who got off the train at Tufnell Park Underground station. Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that could help their investigation.”
