Police Hunt Masked Man After Woman Raped in Park

Police are hunting a masked suspect dressed in all black after a woman in her 20s was allegedly raped in a park in Stoke-on-Trent. Officers were called to Central Forest Park in Hanley on Wednesday, June 17, following reports that a woman had been sexually assaulted in broad daylight.

Suspect Description

The suspect is described as approximately 6ft 2 inches tall, wearing all black clothing, and had their face covered. They are believed to have fled the area after the assault and remain at large. Police have not yet made any arrests.

Witness Appeal

Before the victim left the scene, a male jogger ran past her as she emerged from a shrubbery area and asked if she was okay. Police are eager to speak to this man, as he may have crucial information that could assist the investigation.

Specialist officers are currently supporting the victim following the attack. Detectives have urged anyone with information to come forward. Staffordshire Police stated: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who may be able to help with our investigation who hasn’t already spoken to officers, or anyone who was in the park during these times and saw anything suspicious.”
