Police Car Crash in Tameside: Driver Unhurt

Emergency crews descended on a street in Tameside after a crash involving a police car. The single-vehicle incident occurred on Guide Lane in Audenshaw at around 5pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday, June 18). The police car was left damaged in the crash.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the driver escaped without injury. Pictures from the scene showed a fire engine and another police response vehicle in attendance.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At just before 5pm this afternoon (Thursday 18 June), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Guide Lane in Audenshaw. One fire engine from Ashton Community Fire Station quickly attended the scene, which involved a single vehicle."

"Firefighters confirmed there were no persons trapped and one person involved, who did not require medical treatment. Crews worked to make the vehicle and area safe before handing the incident over to Greater Manchester Police. Crews were in attendance for roughly 20 minutes."
