A Flydubai flight travelling from Dubai to Israel was forced to make an emergency landing after a purported feud between its pilots and an alleged stabbing on board. Passengers reportedly heard shouting and an altercation between those flying the plane, and the aircraft lost altitude before touching down in Saudi Arabia.
Emergency signals transmitted
The plane initially transmitted squawk code 7700, which signals a general emergency. Later, it changed this to 7500, suggesting an unlawful interference, before reverting to the initial numbers. There was a “violent” altercation, according to Israel’s i24NEWS.
Pilot and co-pilot
The pilot is believed to be Russian and the co-pilot Ukrainian. One passenger was left “covered in blood” following the incident. This is a breaking news story and is being updated.
