Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is playing her final trump card ahead of her Coronation Street sex abuse trial, manipulating victim Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) through an online gaming headset. The Driscoll family races to stop her grooming him again before it is too late.
Megan's manipulation continues
Megan, one of the most deplorable Corrie villains, was arrested, exposed and charged with sexually abusing a minor. Behind her carefully crafted image as an athletics coach, she groomed underage boys, including Will Driscoll and his friend Lee (Oscar Aldersley). Will was completely under Megan's thrall, believing they were in love, but it was only about control. She tormented schoolboy Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) for exposing her crimes and taunted Will's step-mum Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) with a sickening brag about sleeping with Will. She even escaped the wrath of Will's murderous grandmother Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn).
Downfall and aftermath
Megan used Weatherfield High teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) as a beard to hide her abuse, damaging his reputation and mental state. It was cabbie Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) who ultimately caused her downfall. On the day Will planned to run away with Megan to France, Tim picked him up in his taxi. Tim, himself a victim of a predatory older woman as a teenager, encouraged Will to report Megan to the police. However, Megan's abuse has robbed Will of normality; he even accused Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), a former grooming victim, of trying to seduce him when she offered support. A silver lining is a blossoming friendship with Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan).
Upcoming episodes
Megan has already tricked Will into meeting her, and now with her trial looming, she continues to mess with his head. When Susie Price (Aurora Bradshaw) activates Will's games console and selects a player called Minimog16, she hears Megan's voice on the line. Susie reveals herself, and the player disconnects. Susie tells Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike) and Maggie, who burst into the back room to find Will chatting on his headset. The Driscolls must discover Megan's attempt to groom Will again before it is too late.
