A passenger spent nine hours plotting revenge on an "entitled" teenager who repeatedly kicked his seat during a flight, and says his plan went off without a hitch.
The man was travelling from the UK to the US when he found himself seated next to a mum and her teenage daughter, who he estimated to be around 18. He had hoped they would keep to themselves during the nine-hour journey, but it wasn't long before he became frustrated by their behaviour.
Flight Behaviour
Venting on Reddit, he said: "The whole flight the daughter had her shoes off and kept elbowing and kicking me with her stinky sock feet while talking loudly. At one point I was asleep and the daughter kicked me awake and slapped me with her jacket."
"Right before landing the two of them were physically fighting, play or not, I got hit a few times and told them to be civilised."
Rather than letting the behaviour ruin his journey, the passenger decided to get his own back - by making sure they couldn't be among the first people off the plane.
Trapped at the Back
As soon as the seatbelt sign was switched off after landing, the mum and daughter apparently got up and tried to make their way off the plane. However, they were seated near the back in seats 37G-J, meaning there was already a long queue of passengers ahead of them.
He explained: "As soon as the fasten seat belt sign came off, they got up and obviously were trying to force their way off the plane early (we were in 37G-J, very back of the plane)."
"I threw down my table and kept watching my programme, trapping them, and told them 'Patience is a virtue, we'll be last off anyway.' They were not pleased."
He then waited until the last possible moment to collect his bag from the overhead locker, before positioning it on his seat to block their route once again. He revealed: "I 'accidentally' hit the daughter with my jacket on the way out of the overhead keeping her back."
Online Reaction
"There was a very large family behind us that made their way behind me in the aisle, blocking them in again. I didn't see them at baggage until five minutes after I made it."
The man's unusual revenge plan divided the internet, but plenty of Reddit users appeared to appreciate the lengths he had gone to. One user said: "Petty revenge is best served with patience." Another added: "People like this make me wish I could downvote them in real life."
A third commented: "Small inconveniences, bravo." Another fan said: "Very British revenge. Full marks!"
