A man has been shot dead in London, prompting a murder investigation. Met Police detectives are investigating after the 40-year-old was found at the junction of Braybrook Street and Erconwald Street in East Acton on Friday evening.
Emergency response
Officers were called at around 7.47pm after members of the public reported hearing multiple shots. Police and London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene and treated the man, but despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead.
Investigation ongoing
The Metropolitan Police said that, while a post-mortem examination is yet to take place, the victim is "believed to have sustained a gunshot wound". No arrests have been made yet.
