Lee Davidson, 40, has been named and pictured for the first time after he was fatally shot in west London on Friday evening. The shooting took place on Braybrook Street at around 7.45pm on October 2.

Metropolitan Police were called to the scene after members of the public heard multiple shots. Officers attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, but Mr Davidson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Memorial gathering at the time

Detectives believe the shooting occurred while dozens of people, including children, were attending a memorial gathering nearby. It is believed around 40 or 50 people were present at the time.

Det Ch Insp Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of a man whose life was taken in a senseless act of violence."

Appeal for witnesses

He added: "We understand a large number of people had gathered for a memorial service and what should have been a time to come together in remembrance has instead left a family devastated."

"We believe between 40 and 50 people, including children, were present when this incident occurred. Someone knows what happened and we need them to come forward."

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything in the area of Braybrook Street and Erconwald Street between 6pm and 8pm.
