A 48-year-old man has died and a 42-year-old woman has been seriously injured following a collision between two motorcycles on the A4069 road between Brynamman and Black Mountain in Wales.
Details of the Crash
Police and paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service, along with an air ambulance, were called to the scene at around 1pm on Sunday, 28 June 2026. The crash involved a silver Triumph motorcycle and a red Honda motorcycle.
The rider of the silver Triumph, a 48-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The rider of the red Honda, a 42-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital, where she remains for treatment.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that the next of kin of both individuals have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
According to a police spokesperson: "Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a road traffic collision on the A4069 between Brynamman and Black Mountain, that occurred at 1.10pm on Sunday. The collision involved a silver Triumph motorcycle and a red Honda motorcycle. Sadly, the rider of the silver Triumph, a 48-year-old man, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The rider of the red Honda, a 42-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she currently remains. Their next of kin have also been notified."
Road Closure and Investigation
The road was closed for collision investigation and reopened at approximately 8pm the same day. Police are appealing for anyone who was travelling along the A4069 at the relevant time to come forward. In particular, officers want to speak to motorists who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
