Emergency services rushed to Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre near Gillingham on Sunday, August 30, where a man in his 30s was confirmed dead following a medical incident.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) were called shortly after 11:00am to reports of a "person in need of medical attention", with multiple crews dispatched to the scene. Kent Police was alerted by SECAmb at 11:06am.
Death not treated as suspicious
Upon arrival, the man was sadly confirmed deceased. His next of kin has been informed, Kent Police said. The force confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
A Kent Police spokesperson told the Express: "Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 11.06am on Sunday 30 August, to a medical incident at the Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre near Gillingham. Officers and paramedics attended the scene where a man in his 30s was confirmed to be deceased. His next of kin is aware. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be completed for the coroner."

A SECAmb spokesperson told the Express: "SECAmb were called at approx. 11:05 on Sunday 30 August to reports of a person in need of medical attention near Hempstead Valley shopping centre in Gillingham. Multiple crews attended the scene, however sadly a man in his 30s was confirmed to be deceased."
