A man in his 30s sustained a fractured jaw and concussion following an assault inside a Newcastle city centre bar. Northumbria Police have released images of a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.
Assault at Dirty Murphy's
Police received a report of the assault at 7:35pm on Friday, March 27, inside Dirty Murphy's on Grainger Street. According to the report, a man approached the victim and his friends who were standing at the bar area. The offender said something to one of the victim's friends, and when the victim nodded his head, the man punched him in the face.
The victim suffered a fractured jaw and concussion as a result of the assault.
Police appeal for information
Officers have conducted a range of enquiries since the report was received. On Monday, they issued images of a man they believe may have been in the area at the time and who could assist with their investigations.
