A man accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a pedestrian was knocked down outside a Sainsbury's in Bolton last autumn will stand trial in November.
Michael Corris, 57, of Turton Road in Bromley Cross, appeared at Bolton Crown Court on September 28, where he pleaded guilty to drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving in relation to the incident.

Dad-of-two Lewis Rimmer was struck by a Range Rover on October 27 outside the Sainsbury's Local shop in Bromley Cross. He spent months in hospital recovering from his injuries.
Corris denied committing the offence of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is set to stand trial for that charge.
Trial date fixed
A trial date has been fixed for November 16 at Bolton Crown Court and is expected to last for four days.
