A man is continuing to fight for his life in hospital after falling from a height at a Salford tower block. The incident occurred at Adelphi Court in the Blackfriars area of the city in the early hours of Wednesday morning (June 17).
Emergency Response
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to the scene on Cannon Street at approximately 1:10 AM. The man, aged in his 30s, was rushed to hospital. In an update issued on Thursday (June 18), a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said he remains there in a critical condition.
Arrests Made
Following the incident, a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of Class A drugs. A 43-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault causing GBH and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 33-year-old has since been bailed, the GMP spokesperson added. The 43-year-old remains in custody.
Investigation Ongoing
The force previously stated they had launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. No further details have been released at this stage.
