A 36-year-old man has been arrested days after a brawl erupted in Barry town centre.
Violent scenes broke out on Broad Street at around 1.30am on Sunday as crowds left pubs and bars. Footage emerged showing dozens of people involved in a street fight.
Arrest made
South Wales Police said officers were called to the disturbance at 1.30am but the group had left by the time they arrived. In an update on Wednesday, police confirmed a man had been arrested on suspicion of affray.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “A man, aged 36, from Barry has been arrested on suspicion of affray following an incident on Broad Street in Barry on June 26. He remains in police custody.”
