Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews is reportedly back in prison in Dubai, with his head shaved, just weeks after his last release when he emerged with a surprisingly thick head of hair that sparked speculation about a toupee.
Details of the Arrest
According to The Sun, Andrews has returned to Al-Awir prison and appeared "really annoyed" to have his head shaved, a standard procedure to prevent lice outbreaks among inmates. His arrest is linked to outstanding debts, including £54,000 owed to a car rental company and £15,000 to a UAE law firm. He was subject to a travel restriction but not considered "actively wanted."
Legal and Financial Troubles
Reports indicate that on Friday, July 10, Dubai police took Andrews to Lahbab police station and imposed a £120,000 fine. He allegedly told a friend, "They've arrested me. Katie might need to bail me out. We need to make a noise with a GoFundMe." Representatives petitioned for his release to access bank accounts to pay debts, stating in court: "The judgment debtor appeared before the court and was questioned regarding the reason for failure to pay the debt. He stated his wife is currently outside the country and that he has been unable to access his bank account required to make payment. He requested a period of 14 days in order to settle the outstanding amount."
Katie Price's Response
Katie Price remains in the UK, where her Sky documentary Nothing To Hide was recently released. Despite claims that Andrews bragged his wife would pay for his release, she has not provided any funds. The Mirror approached Andrews, Price's representatives, and Dubai Police for comment at the time of the initial arrest report.
