David Bush, a 77-year-old grandfather, has died in hospital nearly two weeks after being hit by a vehicle in an Aldi car park in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
Collision details
Mr Bush was struck by a Toyota Prius in the supermarket car park on Halifax Road at around 12.55pm on August 6. He suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and died in hospital on August 17.
Family tribute
His family paid an emotional tribute, saying he would be “missed dearly”. They said: “David was a much-loved husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed dearly by those knew him.”
Police investigation
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been bailed pending further enquiries. Officers from West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team are investigating and want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.
