A nine-year-old girl has died following a crash on an A-road in Scotland. The schoolgirl was a rear passenger in a Volkswagen Polo involved in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crash details
The collision took place on the A813 between Drumnadrochit and Cannich yesterday afternoon. A Ford Ranger was also involved in the incident.
The driver of the Polo and the front seat passenger have been taken to hospital.
Police response
Officers from Police Scotland rushed to the scene. The road was closed for seven hours to allow enquiries to be carried out.
