Girl, 10, Seriously Injured in West Lothian Car Accident

A 10-year-old girl is in a serious condition in hospital following a collision with a car in West Lothian. The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 AM on Thursday on Avondale Drive, near the junction with West Main Street in Armadale. The vehicle involved was a grey Toyota Hilux.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the girl was transported to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh. Medical staff describe her condition as serious but not life-threatening.

Road Closure and Investigation

The road was closed to allow for crash investigation work and reopened around 2:20 PM. Police are conducting inquiries to determine the full circumstances of the collision.

Inspector Thomas Mallinson said: “Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.”

He added: “Please also check any private CCTV or dash-cam footage you have to see if something has been captured to assist with our investigation.”
