She was found lying on Rooks Nest Road at around 8.33pm on Tuesday, September 29, and was taken to hospital, where she passed away four days later, West Yorkshire Police has confirmed.

Arrest made in connection with death

Following investigations by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, a 25-year-old man was arrested on Monday morning (October 5) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries, according to Yorkshire Live, while officers continue to appeal for information.

Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Elly Buchanan, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "We are continuing to support Nadia's family through this horrific time and are working at pace to find them the answers they deserve. Our investigation is still ongoing and we urge anyone with any information to come forward and speak with us so that we can bring justice for Nadia's family."

Police previously stated that Nadia was discovered close to a bus stop on Rooks Nest Road and had sustained serious head and chest injuries. Detectives said they believed she was the victim of a fail-to-stop road traffic collision.
