Fire crews were called to an industrial premises on Chew Valley Road in Greenfield, Saddleworth, on Sunday morning after a blaze erupted at the site.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started at the industrial building, which is located just a few minutes' drive away from the Tesco supermarket in the village.
Crews called at 7.45am
The fire service was called to the scene at approximately 7.45am. Thick smoke could be seen rising above the village as firefighters worked to tackle the inferno.
