Elderly couple hit by seven attacks on Port Talbot home

An elderly couple in south Wales have been repeatedly targeted in a series of attacks on their home and car. The couple, who live in the Gwar y Caeau area of Port Talbot, were subjected to seven incidents between September 4 and 13.

Attacks on home and vehicle

In one incident, the pensioners had their tyres slashed. In another, their car doors were keyed, and in a further incident, the windows of their home were smashed through with bricks. All of the incidents occurred at the property in the early hours of the morning.

Reward offered for information

Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward in a bid to find the perpetrator. A spokesperson for the charity said: "Our independent charity is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information given directly to us that leads to the arrest and charge of those responsible for a series of targeted attacks on an elderly, vulnerable couple in the Gwar y Caeau area of Port Talbot."

The spokesperson added: "Between September 4 and 13 there were seven reported incidents between midnight and the early hours of the morning. These incidents included vehicle tyres being slashed, car doors being keyed, and windows at the couple's property being smashed."
