Crossbow Attack in Edinburgh: Three Arrested After Man Hospitalised
A suspected crossbow attack in an Edinburgh street left the area reportedly 'covered in blood' on Thursday morning. Police arrested three individuals after a 42-year-old man was found injured and taken to hospital.
The incident occurred around 8am on Durar Drive and Ardshiel Avenue in the Clermiston area of the city. Emergency services responded to reports of an assault, and the victim was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further care.
Arrests Made and Investigation Underway
Three suspects, aged 32, 34, and 60, have been arrested in connection with the attack. Police have not yet released details on the nature of the injuries or the condition of the victim. The street was cordoned off as forensic teams examined the scene.
Residents described seeing blood on the pavement and a heavy police presence. One witness told local media: 'It was shocking to see so many police and the blood on the road. We heard it was a crossbow attack.'
Police Scotland confirmed that enquiries are ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward. The motive for the attack remains unclear at this stage.
