EastEnders predator DC Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) targets Amy Mitchell's (Ellie Dadd) ex-boyfriend Denzel Danes (Jaden Luke Ladega) next week, as he steps up his attempts to control her.
Amy has been central to a new storyline in the BBC soap, which has seen her groomed by Craig. The coming months will see him completely isolate her from her family and friends as he exerts control.
Craig pressures Amy
Fans have already seen him pressure Amy into having sex with him, and next week, he commits another heinous crime involving intimate images of Amy's ex Denzel.
With her increasing distance from her friends causing tension among the group, Amy invites Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) over to see Craig's flat. She's unaware, however, that Lily has told Amy's brother Ricky Branning (Frankie Day) where she is, and it's not long before the rest of the teens descend on Craig's place.
Jack confronts Amy
Meanwhile, Amy's dad Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) learns that Amy has been skipping classes and, encouraged by Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), decides it's time to speak to her. After a heartfelt father-daughter chat, Jack is left believing Denise Fox's (Diane Parish) illness is behind Amy's recent behaviour – but Amy's lies begin to unravel when Craig discovers evidence that the others have been in his flat.
Armed with Denzel's ID he found, Craig confronts Amy and asks her to prove her loyalty to him by showing him her phone. As he scrolls through, Craig is angered when he comes across a shirtless photo Denzel recently sent Amy.
Craig's dangerous resentment
Although Craig accepts Amy's subsequent explanation, he develops a dangerous resentment towards Denzel, and it's not long before he attempts to use what he's found to his advantage.
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 12th October at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
