David Crosby II, a 44-year-old man from Georgia, has been arrested on child abuse charges after allegedly punching two children who were playing tag on the Carnival Glory cruise ship in Florida. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras inside the ship's corridor, according to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.
Details of the assault
Law enforcement officials report that Crosby was running down a hallway with three youngsters when he suddenly stopped and struck two of them. One child suffered a bleeding lip and head pain after being hit in the face, while the other was punched in the stomach. Crosby later admitted he was heavily intoxicated and claimed to have no memory of the assault.
Charges and release
Upon the ship's arrival, Crosby was charged with child abuse and taken to Brevard County Jail. Official records show he has since been released after posting a $20,000 bond. The ages of the children and whether Crosby knew them before the incident remain unclear.
