Coca-Cola Lorry Cab Torn Off in Dashcam Crash

A dramatic dashcam video has captured the moment a Coca-Cola lorry collided with an SUV at a busy junction in Sydney, Australia, causing the cab of the truck to separate from the chassis. The driver, a 29-year-old man, was fortunate to escape with only minor injuries, according to New South Wales Police.

Collision at King St and Botany Rd

The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 11:45 a.m. in the Sydney suburb of Mascot, at the intersection of King Street and Botany Road. The Coca-Cola lorry was proceeding through the junction on a green light when a white 4WD vehicle forced its way into the center of the road to execute a right turn. Dashcam footage from the Facebook group Dashcam Australia shows the lorry blaring its horn moments before the two vehicles collided.

Bystanders and other motorists can be heard gasping and exclaiming in shock as the impact sent the lorry skidding forward. The force of the crash was so intense that the cab of the lorry tipped forward and fell off the body of the vehicle, with the driver still inside. Another lorry captured on tape narrowly avoided a secondary collision by slamming on its brakes and skidding past the scene.
