Clashes Near Russell Square
Groups of protesters clashed near Russell Square, where counter-protesters carrying Israeli flags gathered and shouted at those taking part in the march. Counter-demonstrators later made their way through the gardens in Russell Square after officers blocked them from following the pro-Palestine protesters.
Police Block Garden Exit
They gathered behind the garden gates chanting: "Shame on you." Police blocked the garden exit closest to where the pro-Palestine demonstrators had gathered as the march continued through central London.
