Car flips onto roof after crash with milk float in Denton

A grey Citroen C3 overturned and landed on its roof after colliding with a milk float in Denton. Emergency services attended Stockport Road, in Haughton Green, at around 9.45pm on Thursday evening (August 27).

Two-vehicle collision

Police, firefighters and paramedics all attended the scene. A man and a woman were treated by paramedics following the collision. No serious injuries were reported, according to Greater Manchester Police.

The force confirmed it was called to a two-vehicle collision at 9.45pm. No arrests were made following the incident, GMP said. Two fire engines also attended the scene.

Road closed while car remained on roof

Images showed police blocking traffic on the road while the Citroen remained on its roof. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Shortly after 9:44pm yesterday evening (Thursday, August 27), two fire engines from Ashton and Hyde fire stations were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles, one of which was on its roof, on Stockport Road in Denton.

“Crews arrived quickly at the scene and worked with colleagues from Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe. One woman and one man were taken into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for around 20 minutes.”
