Police are appealing for witnesses after a 70-year-old female pedestrian was injured in a collision at a busy Cardiff retail park. The incident occurred in the car park outside the B&M store at Culverhouse Cross at approximately 1:30pm on Thursday, June 4.
Arrest Made in Connection with the Incident
A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs in relation to the collision. South Wales Police confirmed that the circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
According to a police spokesperson: "A collision in the car park outside B&M Bargains at Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff, continues to be investigated. A 70-year-old female pedestrian was injured in the collision which happened around 1.30pm on Thursday, June 4. A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs."
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers believe there were witnesses to the incident who left before police arrived. The vehicle involved was described as an orange Renault. Authorities are urging anyone who saw the collision or has video footage to come forward.
The police spokesperson added: "We believe there were witnesses to the incident who left prior to our arrival. The vehicle involved was an orange Renault. Witnesses or anyone with video footage is asked to contact South Wales Police."
