Irene Bell (Shippen) passed away quietly in her own bed, aged 91. She was a beloved mum, grandma and great grandma. Her cremation takes place on 16th October in Nottingham, with donations in her memory to Alzheimer's Society.

Joyce Brown (Nee Moore / formerly Gallacher) of Westerhope died peacefully in hospital with her family by her side on Wednesday 23rd September 2026, aged 87. She was a dearly beloved wife to Malcolm and a loving mam of Mark, Julie and Simon. The funeral service is at West Road Crematorium on Friday 9th October at 2:15 pm. Family flowers only, donations to the Newcastle Cat and Dog Shelter.

Alfred (Alfie) Bruce of Gateshead, formerly of The Teams, died peacefully on 26th September aged 91. He was the much loved dad of Tony, Keith, Sandra and Andrea. The service is at Saltwell Crematorium on Monday 19th October at 12 noon.

Maureen Campbell of Whickham died peacefully at home on 19th September 2026 aged 89. Beloved wife of the late Ken and dearly loved mam of Paul and the late Julie. The funeral service is at Saltwell Crematorium on Friday 9th October at 11.15am, with donations to Alzheimer's Society.

George Carr of Harlow Green died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on 27th September aged 83. He was the beloved husband of Dot and much loved dad of Deborah, George, Margaret, Gemma and the late Stephen. The service is at Saltwell Crematorium on Thursday 15th October at 12 noon, with donations to Gateshead Hospice at Home.

Eleanor Chapman of North Shields passed away on 14th September aged 79. The service is at Tynemouth Crematorium on Monday 12th October at 2:15pm, followed by a gathering at The Spread Eagle, North Shields.

Irene Clark (Nee Perrie) of Benwell died peacefully on Friday 25th September 2026, aged 87. Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick). The celebration of her life is at West Road Crematorium on Friday 9th October at 2.00pm, with floral tributes or donations to The Cat Protection League. At her request, everyone is asked to wear a splash of purple.

Father John Coyle died peacefully in Belle Vue House on 21st September 2026 aged 93. The Requiem Mass is on Friday 23rd October 2026 at 12pm at St Mary's Cathedral, followed by a private cremation. Donations in lieu would be appreciated for CAFOD.

Edith Dellow (nee Greenwell) passed away peacefully on 20th September aged 101. The funeral service is at 2.30 pm on October 9th, 2026 at Saltwell Crematorium, followed by a gathering at Felling Cricket Club. Donations in lieu of flowers to Alzheimer's Society.

Edward (Eddie) Dunn of Ponteland passed away peacefully on 21st September 2026, aged 92. Beloved husband of Kathleen. The service is at St Johns Whorlton on Tuesday 13th October at 1.30PM, with donations in his memory to St John's Church.

Margaret Heron (Née Hailes) of Gateshead passed away peacefully on 16th September 2026, aged 94. The funeral service is at Saltwell Crematorium on Friday 9th October at 1pm, followed by a gathering at The Stone Trough, Low Fell.

Allan Keddy of North Shields passed away suddenly, at a place he loved, on 18th September 2026 aged 67. Devoted husband to the late Mary and dearly loved partner to Eleanor. The funeral service is at Tynemouth Crematorium on 15th October at 13:30pm, with donations to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Vic Kendal of Catchgate passed away on 14th September aged 80. The service is on Thursday 15th October at 2pm at Mountsett Crematorium, with donations to Stanley Park Care Home.

Paul Martin of Shiney Row, late of Houghton Le Spring, died peacefully in hospital on 23rd September, aged 65. The service is in Sunderland Crematorium on Monday 12th October at 11:30am, with donations to ICCU Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Percy James Melrose passed away peacefully at St. Oswald's Hospice on 25th September 2026, aged 80. Beloved husband of Iris. The funeral service is at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Friday 16th October at 12 noon, with donations to St. Oswald's Hospice.

Norman Miller of Gateshead passed with family and close friends at his bedside following a short illness, on 29th August 2026 aged 88. The funeral service is at Saltwell Crematorium on Tuesday 20th October at 1:45pm, with donations divided between the RNLI and The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Graeme O'Connor died unexpectedly on 19th September, aged 45. Devoted husband of Keeley. A celebration of his life takes place at The Cherry Tree on Sunday 11th October at 2pm, followed by a private cremation.

Sue Rae died peacefully surrounded by her family on 18th September 2026, aged 71. The service and cremation is at Birtley Cremation on Friday 9th October at 11:00am. At her request, everyone is asked to wear a splash of Blue. Donations may be made to St Bedes Unit at QE Hospital.

Alan Reed of North Shields, formerly Heworth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday 23rd September 2026, aged 90. The funeral service is at Tynemouth Crematorium on Monday 12th October 12.45pm, with donations to The Scout Association.

Brenda Wilson (previously Gascoigne, nee Harris) of Prudhoe, formerly Gateshead, passed away peacefully on 2nd September 2026, with her daughters by her side.
