Heartfelt tributes have poured in for five-year-old Letti Cole, described as a 'little angel', who tragically drowned in Worcestershire. A fundraising campaign has been set up to create a memorial in her memory.
Letti disappeared from Badsey, near Evesham, on Wednesday, 29 July. She was later found unresponsive in water nearby and pronounced dead at the scene.
Community mourns 'little angel'
West Mercia Police said they believed the "incredibly tragic incident" was the result of drowning. Tributes have been shared following the devastating event.
One person wrote: "Very sad. Thoughts with family. RIP poor little angel." Another said: "Rest in peace Letti. Sending love to her family." A third commented: "IP little angel."
Memorial fund raises over £8,700
A GoFundMe campaign has already raised over £8,700. Letti's auntie Hayley Newton shared on the page: "On Wednesday evening, we lost our most precious angel in the most tragic circumstances. Our family is completely heartbroken, devastated, and still in shock. No family should ever have to go through such an unimaginable loss."
She added: "The kindness, compassion, and support shown by the people of Badsey has restored my faith in humanity. I want to thank every single person who gave up their time and made every effort to help look for our beautiful Letti. Your love and support will never be forgotten."
