A major emergency response was triggered on Tuesday morning after reports of a man trapped beneath a vehicle in Swansea. The incident occurred on Penfilia Road in Brynhyfryd, prompting road closures and a multi-agency response.

Emergency services mobilised

At 8:59 am on Tuesday, June 9, crews from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, based at Swansea West and Morriston Fire Stations, were dispatched to the scene. They found a casualty trapped underneath a vehicle and worked alongside Ambulance Service crews to release the man and secure the vehicle.

Multi-agency response

In addition to fire and ambulance crews, South Wales Police and the Air Ambulance were also in attendance. The road was closed for approximately one hour while emergency responders dealt with the incident. Fire crews left the scene at 9:33 am.

Police confirmed that the man was taken to hospital and remains there in stable condition. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
