A man has been rescued from a height on Oldham Street in Manchester city centre and taken to hospital following a welfare concern incident this morning (June 14).
Emergency Response
Emergency services were called to Oldham Street near the Northern Quarter just before 9am after reports of a person at height. The incident has been safely resolved, and the man is now receiving hospital care.
Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) responded to the call at around 8.40am. A GMFRS spokesperson said: 'At around 8.40am on Sunday 14 June, fire crews were called to assist with the rescue of a person at height on Oldham Road, Manchester.'
Two fire engines and a hydraulic platform from Manchester Central were dispatched to the scene, where firefighters worked with other emergency services to safely bring the incident to a close.
