A man has been charged in connection with the death of a nine-year-old girl in Arbroath. The girl was found seriously injured at Elliot Industrial Estate at 12.02am on Monday, August 3. She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where she later died.
Arrest and charge
A 35-year-old white British man has been arrested and charged in relation to the incident. He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 5. The girl and the man are known to each other.
Family hospitalised
Three other family members were taken to hospital following the incident. Their condition has not been disclosed. The death is being treated as suspicious.
