A young boy has tragically died after being pulled unconscious from a swimming pool on the New South Wales Mid North Coast, sparking a police investigation.

Emergency services were called to a property in Bobs Farm, Port Stephens, at approximately 7.30pm on Friday evening following reports of a critical incident. Upon arrival, they discovered that family members had been desperately performing CPR on the four-year-old boy after he was retrieved from the water.
