Former Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell targeted by stalker sending gifts

Former Emmerdale actress Daisy Campbell was left terrified after a stalker bombarded her with unwanted gifts and money. Lyle Cook, 39, found her address on Google Maps and sent envelopes of cash, love letters, and packages to her home between January 2024 and February 2025.

Campbell, who played Amelia Spencer on the soap from 2011 until last year, reported the harassment to police. Cook also attempted to arrange a meeting with her. He was made subject to a stalking protection order.

Cook, of Telford, Shropshire, admitted stalking in September at Telford Magistrates' Court. He received a 12-month conditional discharge, a £161 fine, and a five-year ban from contacting Campbell directly or indirectly.

Campbell, who now runs a pilates studio in Pontefract, Yorkshire, said the ordeal was deeply concerning. A source told The Sun: 'She did the right thing by reporting it, so that the authorities could deal with it accordingly. There is a lot of relief that this matter was taken to court.'

The actress previously revealed her exit from Emmerdale was not her choice, saying it was 'a shock' after spending her childhood on the show. Her character was written out after deciding to move to Leicester.
