Messages of sympathy have been shared following the sudden death of a 'beloved husband, father, and family member' from Dundalk, who died unexpectedly while his wife is seven months pregnant with their second child.
Ayden Xola Peters, aged 32, passed away on the morning of January 17, according to the Irish Mirror. A fundraising campaign has been launched to support his wife Neesha, their two-year-old child, and their unborn baby.
The GoFundMe page, set up by a relative, has raised over €16,500 from more than 300 people. It states: 'We have suffered the sudden and unexpected loss of a beloved husband, father, and family member. His passing has left our entire family in shock.'
A notice on RIP.ie described the Dundalk Institute of Technology graduate as leaving 'a legacy of love, kindness and devotion to his family'. It added: 'Ayden will be remembered for his loving nature, his strength and the deep love he held for those closest to him.'
Tributes also came from colleagues at Cooley Distillery in Louth, where one wrote: 'We'll miss you Ayden, you've been an amazing person and colleague.' Another said: 'You were an absolute gent we are going to eternally miss your smile, your laugh and charisma.'
A service was held on Sunday morning at Quinn's Funeral Homes in Dundalk. No further details on the cause of death have been shared.
