Dedicated teacher remembered
Keeley Jo Malaure passed away on 7th August 2026 at the age of 38. She will be remembered for the love, kindness, and warmth she brought into the lives of everyone around her. She touched the hearts of many, and her loss will be deeply felt by all her family and friends - most especially her loving mum, Elaine, and sister, Chloe whom she adored. A dedicated teacher at several local schools, Keeley Jo will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her students, colleagues, and all who had the pleasure of working alongside her. Her funeral service will take place at Droylsden Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, 3rd September 2026 at 11:00 am.

Much loved wife of David (decd.), loving mother of Catherine, Patricia and David, devoted Grandmother to Callum, Sophie, Grace, Elizabeth and Great Grandmother to Rosemary and William. Requiem Mass to be held at 11 am on 11 September, at The Chapel, Lady of the Vale, Bowdon, followed by interment at St. Luke's Cemetery, Holmes Chapel.
Robert Coley passed away peacefully at home on 19th August 2026, aged 84 years. Dearly loved dad to Debbie and Francesca. A special father-in-law to Steve. Wonderful brother to Sheila. A cherished grandpa and 'Bobby' to Nicole, Coby, and Brody. Funeral Friday 18th September, service 3.30pm at Lichfield & District Crematorium.
Denis Patrick Dearsley died peacefully on 18th August 2026. Denis was the beloved husband of the late Theresa, adored dad of Aidan, Marian and Claire. A Requiem Mass will take place at St John the Baptist Church, Rochdale on Tuesday 1st September at 11:15am, followed by Committal at Rochdale Crematorium at 1pm.
Noel Thomas Gallagher passed away peacefully in hospital on 24th August 2026. Formerly of Milltown, Tuam, County Galway and Knutsford, Cheshire. The dearly loved Husband of Ewa and much loved Dad of Noel, Jennifer and Sylvia. Funeral arrangements will take place in Ireland.
Kenneth Greer passed away peacefully at home on 22nd August 2026 with his loving family by his side, having bravely fought cancer for a long period of time. Funeral Service to take place at Bamford Chapel and Norden URC on Friday 18th September at 12noon followed by private Committal.
Claire Bernadette Lancaster passed away peacefully at Lady of the Vale Nursing Home on August 14, 2026, formerly of Goostrey, Cheshire and Portland Rd, Stretford. Much loved wife of Terence, beloved Aunt, Grand Aunt, Great Grand Aunt, and loving sister of Jim, Tommy, Mary, Breda, and Anna. Requiem Mass to be held at 11 am on 11 September at The Chapel, Lady of the Vale, Bowdon, followed by cremation at The Birches Crematorium, Lach Dennis.
Iris Rosalie Mansfield passed away peacefully on 6th August 2026 aged 98 years. Much loved wife of the late George. Sadly missed mum, grandmother and great grandmother. Service will be held at Stockport Crematorium - Rowan Chapel on Monday 14th September 2026 at 12:15 PM.
Nicholas McClellan sadly passed away in Fairfield Hospital on 13th August 2026. Loving Husband to Sandra, Brother and Uncle, he will be sadly missed. His funeral will be held at Agecroft Crematorium on Friday 28th August at 1:00pm.
Joan Savage passed away peacefully in River Meadows, Shawbury, Aged 97 Years. The beloved Wife of the late Bob, dearly loved Mum of Steven and Helen, loving Grandma of Rebecca, Steven and Heather and an adored Great Grandma. Funeral Service to be held at St Mary's Church, Shawbury on Tuesday 8th September 2026 at 1.45pm.
Paul William Thorley sadly passed away on the 9th August 2026. Aged 75 years. Beloved husband to the late Susan Thorley. Devoted dad to Samantha Sutherland and the late Carl Thorley. Service shall take place on the 7th September 2026 2pm at Manchester Crematorium.
Mary Upton passed away on 15th August aged 91 years and of Alkrington, Mary passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. The adored wife of the late Tom and Keith now reunited, a loving and devoted Mother of Andrea and Thomas, a treasured and precious Nanna of Chloe and Tom. On Wednesday 2nd September Mary will be received into the Catholic Church of St Thomas More, Kirkway, Alkrington for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment at St Joseph's Cemetery, Moston.
Dean Woolley, age 47, of Bury, sadly passed away on Tuesday 4th August 2026. Beloved Partner to Beccy, Son, Dad, Brother and Uncle, he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. His funeral will be held at East Lancashire Crematorium on Friday 28th August 2026 at 3:30pm.
